JABIRU
Composite propellers
At Jabiru, the propeller is the final link in our integrated design approach, from the nose to the tail of the aircraft. Our composite propeller features a scimitar profile, made of high-strength black fiberglass. Each blade is precision injection-molded and then mounted in a forged aluminum hub to ensure durability, rigidity, and in-service performance.
This composite propeller complies with the ASTM F2506 standard, meeting rigorous quality and safety requirements.

JABIRU
Wooden propellers
Manufactured with a high level of precision, Jabiru wooden propellers are made from Australian Hoop Pine laminate. They feature three plies for our 4-cylinder engines and four plies for our 6-cylinder engines. Each blank is carefully machined, carved, and then hand-sanded to achieve the exact pitch required for optimal performance.
To improve structural integrity, a fiberglass layer is applied to each side to limit flexing and reinforce the wood. In addition, a Flexane rubber bead is molded onto the leading edge of each propeller to provide excellent protection against spray, rain, and debris.
Our propellers are fully compliant with CS-22 Subpart J, meeting a high standard of aviation safety.
