In-service anomaly reporting.

Jabiru’s system is part of the ASTM F3198 standard, relating to a Continued Operational Safety (COS) programme. As such, it is the owner’s responsibility to report to the manufacturer, as soon as they are discovered, any hazardous condition or in-service difficulty, including failures, malfunctions, defects, or other events likely to affect safety or airworthiness.

These reports are not automatically forwarded to a regulatory authority. Reporting obligations to a national civil aviation authority must therefore be completed separately, using that authority’s own notification systems.
